Psychotherapy is a treatment that address what’s not working in your life. The overall goal of psychotherapy aims to restore emotional balance, equilibrium, and well-being. Over time the individual becomes more authentic, more able to enjoy work, to take pleasure in loved ones and to engage life fully. In psychotherapy I see patients one session per week. Sessions are a standard length of 45 to 50 minutes. Some treatments address an individual’s specific goals and can be brief. Other treatments speak to more general issues and may last a longer period of time. A few initial sessions are used for assessment to evaluate the uniqueness of your situation and to recommend a direction for the treatment.
